The Gorgeously Youthful Viola Davis

SAG Award Winner and Academy Award Nominee Ms. Viola Davis posed in her naturally beautiful self recently in some lovely outfits by Marchesa, Jason Wu and Thierry Mugler. I think she is even more gorgeously youthful with the short hair. In the interview she discusses an array of subjects including working with a good mentor, her scholarship and work on Broadway. In an article called "The Help Rises" please read her very interesting interview with Leslie Gornstein right here at THE LOS ANGELES TIMES MAGAZINE

  1. Charming photo of Viola. I hope she wins the Oscar, she really deserves it. I think this is her second Oscar nomination.....she was nominated for the movie "Doubt" some years ago.

  2. I prefer her without the wig! She is so cute and lovely. It's amazing but a short hair style takes off so many years while a long hair style (the wig) piles them on. I'm speaking from experience so the morale of the story is .....?

  3. Viola is so striking in this picture! Her natural hair does take years off her face. She is an incredible actress, and it's too bad that she doesn't fit the Hollywood preferred stereotype for black women -- light-skinned, Caucasian featured, long hair, etc etc! If she were that type, she'd be better appreciated in the movie industry. She is really, really under-rated as an actress....

  4. I think she is gorgeous....a black beauty. Her work is definitely five star. She is very talented. The Bible says that "your gift will make room for you." In other words, a true gift from God will speak for itself and nothing will stand in its way.
