Yesterday Queen Elizabeth II celebrated 60 years on the throne. As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the Journalist and Political Commentator, Mr. Andrew Marr has created an interesting documentary called "The Diamond Queen" to mark the event.
Episode 1 was aired by the BBC yesterday to rave reviews. The Guardian is reporting that 6.2 million viewed the documentary. It treats matters such as the Queen's childhood, her Family and the unexpected abdication of her Uncle Edward for the love of Mrs. Wallis Simpson - an act which thrust the throne upon her purely by accident.
UPDATE (2/8/2012) - My apologies. I posted the video but it is no longer available due to a BBC copyright claim. If you live in Canada, Australia and Europe you can watch the documentary via the BBC iPlayer Global Youtube Channel . Unfortunately those of us elsewhere can not. Never mind, I will get it to you as soon as I am able to.
Meanwhile please feel free to watch plans for the Diamond Jubilee, Uploaded Videos, Favorite Videos, The Royal Wedding, State Banquets and Greeting Videos here on THE ROYAL CHANNEL
Clearly she has been blessed!!
