The mind is simply incredible. I am reminded of this truth particularly at this time of the year. Today, the Nobel Prizes were awarded in Norway (Peace) and Sweden (Chemistry, Economics, Literature, Medicine/Physiology and Physics).

PHYSICS - Serge Haroche and David J. Wineland "for ground-breaking experimental methods that enable measuring and manipulation of individual quantum systems"
PEACE - The European Union "for over six decades contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe"
Each Nobel Laureate was gifted a Gold Medal, a Diploma and 8 million SEK ($1.2M).
