I thoroughly enjoyed Superbowl 49, it was a game for the ages. I was certain the Seahawks were taking the Vince Lombardi Trophy back to Seattle....then unthinkable, unforgettable happened. The Patriots were leading 28 to 24. The Seahawks' QB, Russell Wilson threw the ball which was about to be caught by his team mate then out of nowhere, Malcolm Butler caught an unexpected and enormously triumphant interception. The rest, as they say, is now the subject of Sports History. However, when questioned about his magnificent interception, the stunned Malcolm Butler thanked God and said "I had a vision that I made a good catch".... incredible.
Permit me to rewind a little. Towards the end of the game, my thought process was "since The Pats have two back-to-back Superbowl wins, it is now time for The Hawks to experience the same glory." Not so! Was that a divine interception....do you believe in divine interceptions? Yes...and yes again I say. Here, here!
Let us consider some truths: what if a Seahawk caught their QB's throw...what would people be thinking and saying up till now...what about The Patriots and their QB, Tom Brady...what about their legacy and "Deflategate"... credible.
Malcolm Butler trusted his vision. We thank God for His Divine Interception, Divine Vindication and Divine Outcomes. Incredible.
