FLEDGES - Nigerian Children Build Browser To Rival Google

The Ikhianosime Brothers

Anesi and Osine Ikhianosime are brothers who, with encouragement from their parents, have built a new browser called Crocodile Browser Lite. It is hosted on the Google Play Store and the App is available as a free download. They decided to create a functional, fast browser for feature and low end phones because they were fed up with Google Chrome which they considered to be too slow. Anesi writes the code while Osine takes care of all the designs. The brothers visit and use the Code Academy and Code Avengers websites. They also study books like Games for Dummies and Android For Game Development.

The brothers previously launched Crocodile on the Mobango App Store but decided to take it to Google so that they could reach a larger audience. Their Mother is a teacher who credits their school for encouraging their passion for computing and coding. Their Father concurs and believes that the school wholesomely embraced his children's aspirations. 15 year old Anesi and 13 year old Osine both attend The Greensprings School, Anthony Village, Lagos, Nigeria. Mr. & Mrs. Ikhianosime would like their sons to attend The Massachusetts Institute of Technology in order that their gifts will continue to be harnessed and nurtured.
