The Banns of Marriage Service took place in the Royal Chapel at the Royal Palace of Stockholm on Sunday, May 17th at 11.00 am. The banns of marriage were published for HRH Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, The Duke of Varmland and Miss Sofia Hellqvist at the Royal Chapel.
Present at the service were The King and Queen, The Crown Princess Couple: Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel together with their daughter, Princess Estelle; The Princess Couple: Princess Madeline and Mr. Christopher O'Neill together with their daughter, Princess Leonore; Miss Hellqvist's parents and siblings: Mr. Erik Hellqvist and Mrs. Marie Hellqvist, Ms. Lina Hellqvist and partner Mr. Jonas Fjrejd, Ms. Sara Hellqvist and partner Oskar Bergman.
The service led by Chaplain to The King, Lars-Goran Lonnermark and Pastor of The Royal Court Parish, Michael Bjerkhagen.
Music by composers including Bach, Mozart and Princess Eugenie was performed by Court Trumpeter Bjorn Nyman, the Armed Forces Corps Timpinist Christian Ekstedt, the Life Guards Dragoon Music Corps, Violinist and Leader of the Royal Court Orchestra Semmy Stalhammer, Organist Gregory Lloyd and the Royal Chapel Vocal Ensemble, conducted by Court Organist Mary Ljungquist Hen.
The Service was followed by a Reception.
