SPORTS - Deion Sanders....What Happened?

What on God's given earth happened to Mr. Deion Sanders? One of my precious children brought this to my attention. One can discern that this not cryptic or rocket science. What is it that causes individuals to post such messages?

Absolutely. I agree.

However I do I hope he has extended the olive branch to his former wife, Pilar? If you recall, they fought a bitter fight in the public arena. While we do not know the day to day domestic living details, we do know that he obtained custody of their children. Pilar was held in contempt of court by a judge for failing to return their children after visitation per their divorce decree and for taking possession when she should not have, etc. etc. The fact is that Pilar spent 7 days in jail. Things got extremely messy, simply dreadful. It was atrociously awful.

Pilar and Deion loved each other once upon a time. They brought forth children. The best gift Mr. Sanders can give to his children is to treat their Mother with a blend of silk and cotton gloves. I write Mother with a capital M. The reality is that no matter what happens in future, Pilar will always be the Mother of his children. Celebrity fathers can buy custody of their children at any time through expensive boutique attorneys but how thoughtful are the dynamics of such a move in the long run?

I pray Deion is able to re-gather his thoughts and step back a little from his former wife with wisdom. I trust that he will respectfully work something out in the absence of attorneys, judges and money.  I hope that he will take care of her regardless of their divorce. Anything less will not be good enough.

Deion, I sincerely ask and pray that you wish Pilar peace, joy, serenity, forgiveness and love.

Let us all remember, that it is our actions that speak louder than our words.
