ROYALTY - SOCIETY - Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo Marry

The civil marriage took place today between Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The ceremony was officiated in the gardens at the Prince's Palace of Monaco at 11.30 am local time.

27 year old Pierre is the younger son and third child of  HRH Caroline, Princess of Hanover and the late Mr. Stephano Casiraghi. He is the nephew of Albert II of Monaco and Princess Stephanie of Monaco. He has a degree in Economics & Management from Bocconi University. He manages some of his late father's companies.

29 year old Beatrice is the younger daughter of  Don Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo and Countess Donna Paola Marzotto. She has a Law degree from Bocconi University and Masters in Journalism from Colombia University. Beatrice has worked for The Daily Beast, Newsweek  and Il Fatto Quotidiano. She has hosted many weekly shows,  written documentaries and collaborated on books.

The couple's Church Wedding will hold next week Saturday, 1st August on Isola Bella, one of many islands and islets on the tourist destination Borromean Islands in the Lago Maggiore belonging to the Borromeo Family in Italy.

Last week Pierre's Uncle, Prince Albert said: "it's going to be a summer garden party, a finger food for lunch thing. With buffet tables and drinks, there will be places for guests to sit but it's going to be mostly informal. It's a light fete and I will give a toast. I'll try to keep it short but not bore everybody, have them feel I ran on and on, which will be hard because I really like Pierre and Beatrice."
