The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has re-elected Ms. Cheryl Boone Isaacs as President for her third consecutive term. Her elected was effected by the Board of Governors.

First elected in July 2013, Boone Isaacs, a Marketing/PR Executive, has had quite a long tenure working at the Academy. She has honed excellent diplomatic skills and comprehends all the nooks and crannies of the film industry. Boone Isaacs has been strong on outreach and together with CEO Dawn Hudson, deemed it very necessary to take trips abroad to ensure diversification of membership. As a consequence of efforts, there is a fuller mix of gender, nationality and race without AMPAS  compromising its standards.

Boone Isaacs is the third lady to hold the President's post, the previous two being Fay Kanin (1979-83) and Bette Davis (two months in 1941).  Boone Isaacs currently heads CBI Enterprises Inc which consults of film marketing efforts. Commencing this September, she will be an Adjunct Professor at Chapman's University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Boone Isaacs was very recently awarded a Doctorate from University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

During the course of her career Boone Isaacs has consulted on films like "The Call," "The Artist," "The Kings Speech," "Precious: Based On The Novel 'Push' By Sapphire," "Spider-Man 2," and "Tupac: Ressurrection." Previously, Boone Isaacs served as President of Theatrical Marketing for New Line Cinema from 1997 where she supervised and oversaw successes for films like "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" and "Rush Hour." Before New Line, Boone Isaacs worked at Paramount as Executive Vice President for Worldwide Publicity, she organized and orchestrated the publicity campaigns for "Braveheart" and "Forest Gump."

Her third term as President also marks her 23rd term as Governor representing the public relations branch of the Academy.
