NEWS - Thoughtful Kenyans Raise Funds For Their Own

A well known Blogger, Biko Zulu, put forward a Twitter appeal on behalf of Emmanuel Jadudi who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Initial diagnosis on the third year Political Science student was in 2012. Zulu said "he doesn't have much time left. He needs our help to fly out to India for a fourth brain surgery...he needs Sh1m equivalent to $10,000 by Saturday. We all have the power to help this boy. We have the power to show our compassion to a stranger in need."

Biki Zulu spread his message via #1MilliForJadudi and after two days, over $60,000 was raised. Jadudi said he was "beyond grateful" and "overwhelmed."
