NATURE - Only Three White Northern Rhinos Left On Earth

41 year old Nola had been living at San Diego Zoo Safari Park for over 27 years, Her weekend death means that there are now only three white northern rhinos left on the planet earth.

The three rhinos are housed at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. The two remaining females are unable to reproduce while the only male has a very low sperm count. White Northern were poached for their horns and officially became extinct in the wild in 2006. 

San Diego Zoo Safari Park's facebook post read: We are absolutely devastated by this loss, but resolve to fight even harder to #EndExtinction. We ask you to join us in this fight ... Let this be a warning of of what is happening to wildlife everywhere."
