Yesterday, Dr. Abraham Nwankwo, The Director-General of Debt Management Office, received a delegation on a study tour from South Sudan. During the meeting, Dr. Nwankwo revealed that Nigeria will help South Sudan in managing it's debt profile, setting up a debt management office and develop its bonds market.
The Director General said the fact that South Sudan sought out Nigeria rather than a European nation, is a positive step in the right direction as it demonstrates trust, solidarity and goodwill among African nations.
