President Muhammadu Buhari
On Monday, at the COP21 Paris Summit, President Buhari called on world leaders to present a united front to save Lake Chad's ecosystem from further depletion as a result of climate change. Buhari has emphasized that climate change continues to threaten development and security.
Rather than leave behind millions who rely on Lake Chad for survival, the President would like to see other world leaders collectively deal with the crisis as a mutual challenge without further delay. The President reassured all those in attendance of Nigeria's readiness, willingness and ability to support a legally binding all compassing agreement that is fair to everybody.
