SPORTS - Nigeria Opens African Nations Championships Camp

Nigeria will open a camp for CHAN 16, otherwise known as the 2016 African Nations Championships. The  Abuja-based soccer camp will commence Monday 14th December. A final list of footballers invited to the camp will  be released by the Nigerian Football Federation during the week.

The Tournament will be held in Rwanda from 16th January to 7th February 2016. This will be the 4th edition of CHAN, the very first meeting was in 2009, followed by 2011 and 2014. Nigeria positioned 3rd in CHAN 2014 South Africa, with Ghana 2nd and Libya 1st. The host nation's Barnard Parker was the top goal scorer while Nigeria's Ejike Uzoenyi was voted as the MVP.
