Last month Murtaza made headlines all the way from Afghanistan because he was photographed in a shirt made from a stripped blue plastic bag. Messi's management team and UNICEF were able to track the five year old down to the Jaghori District in the Ghazni province.

Messi is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). The organisation helped deliver the Lionel Messi Number 10 jersey and football to Murtaza.
