NEWS - Los Angeles Proposed For 2024 Summer Olympics

The US Olympic Committee (USOC) has named Los Angeles as the official United States bidder for the 2024 Summer Olympics. With matters in the very early stages, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti is up for the challenge.

If the bid is successful, this will be the third time lucky for the City of Angels, previous times were 1932 and 1984. Please read about all the benefits that will accrue as well as the economic justification for this surprising bid in the LA TIMES

    Would like to see it in LA too but there are other places that could also do a good job. Houston would have been nice but I think it's much too hot for the athletes.

    This is a great venue for the games. The weather is perfect for it and the people.
