QUESTION - SPORTS - Is Derrick Rose Destroying His Gifts?

Before I proceed, may I remind you that a person is innocent until proven guilty. 

Apparently Chicago Bulls Number 1 Point Guard, Mr. Derrick Rose is making news ... again. No, not for the ridiculously ubiquitous injuries he has suffered over the last three years, he is actually in the media for the embarrassingly unsavory business of allegedly romping in the sack with three people. Without going into too much detail, a lady (Rose's ex-girlfriend - aka. Ms. Jane Doe) has filed a lawsuit accusing the NBA Player and two of his friends (Randall Hampton and Ryan Allen) of sexual assault, sexual battery and other dreadfully serious charges. Rose has since disputed her allegations claiming that the sex was consensual. 

I am very much aware of Mr. Rose's past injuries and believe that his constant bouts of attack require prayers of deliverance. Why would The First Pick arrive at the NBA only to be hindered from participating and performing time and time again due to a so called injury? Truth be told, I am of the opinion that something has been obstructing Derrick Rose's favor, gift, prosperity and God-given destiny for sometime. The sexual roll in the hay demonstrates that this athlete is his own worst enemy. Please kindly note that in absolutely no shape, manner or form am I attempting to minimize the severity of the allegations made by Rose's ex-girlfriend, Ms. Jane Doe. 

The sex was consensual. Why on earth would Mr. Rose portray himself in such a manner, where is his self-regard? Let us imagine certain awfully realistic suppositions for a moment: what if he was filmed ... what if somebody uploaded the entire sexual escapade/adventure on the internet ... what if somebody wanted to blackmail him ... what if DVDs were shipped and sold... what if the other sexual participants and performers had planned to set him up from the inception? To whom much is given much is expected, the sports associations/leagues are not in the business of sexual escapades, pornography (hardcore or otherwise) therefore the earlier they include strict codes of conduct outlawing this odious aversion in their contracts the better. 

It is said that the quickest way for woman to destroy a man (if she wishes to) is through sex. The Holy Bible instructs that a man must not give his strength to a woman ... the same Holy Book is also opposed to men spilling their seeds. While I do not purport to know young Derrick's faith, I will say that he must appreciate and comprehend that every action has a reaction - both physical and spiritual. What goes up must come down. What goes around comes around. The sexual abuse of one's body is a carnal sin that translates as the physical abuse of one's inner self which ultimately opens the body to attacks of weakness, sickness and destruction. This applies her, him and everybody else taking their sexuality for granted.

Group romps are sexual proclivities - pure and simple. Nothing good can ever come from screwing around as one's physical and spiritual well being are expensive compromises one can ill afford. The good news is that God is in the business of forgiveness, miracles, signs and wonders: all he, she and they have to do is play their own good part.

Self-respect/self-honor/self-pride/self-dignity are qualities of strength. God Almighty is strength.
