ECONOMY - Governor Mimiko Welcomes Chinese Partnership On Olokola Deep Sea Port at FTZ

Last week the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko sought the partnership of the Chinese Government on the development of the planned Deep Sea Port at the Free Trade Zone of the  Southern part of the state. The Governor hosted the Consular General of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, Mr. Liu Kan, who led a Chinese delegation on a courtesy visit to the Governor's office. He promised to deepen the existing good relationship between the Chinese Government and Ondo State Government at the sub level for socio- economic development in the areas of Education, Health, Agriculture in order to improve the lives of the people. 

Governor Mimiko said the Ore Industrial Park will become the economic hub of the State as soon as the ongoing Independent Power Plant is completed. He promised his administration’s determination to continue to do whatever is needed to deepen their existing good relationship. He vowed to continue working with the Chinese government for the development of his people noting that his administration has had good relationships with the Chinese companies established Ondo State. Governor Mimiko also applauded the fact that the companies have been conducting their work with integrity for the betterment of all. 


Governor Mimiko stated the need for China and Nigeria to unite for the development of their peoples and advancement of good socio- economic relationships. He regards the Consular General's visit as a sign of good things to come in Ondo State. 


Earlier, Mr. Liu Kan, who thanked the Governor for his warm reception and support for Chinese indigenous companies assured continued support in all areas for continuous sustainable development. The Consular General noted that, China and Nigeria have developed and established a long standing relationship hence the need to deepen their cooperation to boost investment and industrialization.

  2. How many deals will China get from Nigeria? Nigeria, wake up before it's too late! Everything is China, China. Greedy people. How many deals does Nigeria have in China? Foolish Nigerians!!!! We cannot enslave the next generations of Nigerians to China. This is getting too much.
