The Wu-Tang Clan developed one of the best sales pitches in music history early last year. The group's Once Upon A Time In Shaolin is the ONE AND ONLY piece available. All duplicates have been destroyed. The group decided to put this new album out as a work of Museum Art. RZA said to Forbes "We're making a single-sale collectors item. This is like someone having the scepter of an Eygptian King."
The 31 track album extant version comes in a hand carved box accompanied by a leather bound book with 174 pages of parchment paper filled with lyrics and background to all of the songs Originally, the idea was that who ever purchased the album, it was to be borne in mind that she or he could not sell or commercialize it for 88 years. The buyer is however, permitted to have personal enjoyment of the historical work.
The Wu-Tang Clan enlisted the services of auction online startup, Paddle8 to sell the album. It was sold to the highest bidder for an undisclosed amount.

Yes, you guessed it. It is the very same Martin Shkreli who bought Wu-Tang Clan's once in a lifetime historical album for $2Million. RZA said: "The sale of Once Upon A Time In Shaolin was agreed upon in May, well before Martin Shkreli's [sic] business practices came to light. We decided to give a significant portion of the proceeds to charity."
The controversial Pharma Bro told Bloomberg Business that he liked the idea of owning the historical music album because it would give him a unique edge with celebrities and rappers.
