NEWS - Nigerians Exhibiting at The Making Africa Exhibition In Spain

This piece imagines Idumota Market, Lagos, Nigeria,  six decades into the future. It celebrates the Tailor, Ikire Jones. The beautifully tailored man with the hat is a Tailor's Apprentice who wants to make clothes for the New Africans.

Photographer, JD Okhai Ojeikere's intention was to establish a record of hair fashion. He sheds light on the ultra creative manner in which Nigerian women design, style and wear their hair. 

It is worth noting that the Making Africa: A Continent of Contemporary Design is currently exhibiting at the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao, Spain. It concludes 21st February 2016.
