The Chinese Promotional Poster of

Again, have a very good look at the original American promotional poster. Compare it to the Chinese poster. What do you see? Exactly!

Backtracking a little, it was on Tuesday 1st December that Ray Kwong took to Twitter with:

For yonks, movie buffs like myself have known who plays who. Fans have complained vociferously about the Chinese poster because John Boyega (Finn) has shrunk to near obscurity while Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), award winning Lupita Nyong'o (Maz Kanata) and Chewbacca make no appearance at all. Dear John Boyega has been the leading poster artist pre and post production.

What happened? This is not  rocket science. Please permit me to explain in the simplest manner possible: they are all black artists/actors. Drilling home to Africa, John Bogeya is Nigerian British while Lupita is Kenyan Mexican.

How did it all end ... what was satisfactory outcome? Well, in predictable fashion, the Chinese played it all down indignantly protesting that the change had "nothing to do with racism." I guess not a single soul in government and politics Africa was aware of this demonic slight.

The always quietly smiling, shrewd President Xi Jinping had his own plans in Johannesburg last weekend. The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation attended by all the Heads of African Nations went off with a bang as anticipated. Whatever the case is, $60 Billion, $60 Trillion, $60 Zillion can never ever replace the honor, pride and dignity of we Africans in our 54 Nations or elsewhere on the globe. Caution, Watchfulness and Vision are all spirits of  Divine Wisdom.

PS: By the way and just for the record, President Xi Jinping, it's The Forum on AFRICA-China Cooperation. We see you Sir. We see you and all of yours.
