My very first listen to EW&F was Summer 1975.

I loved the way he sang and danced to his own music! He was always smiling ... simply brilliant.

Maurice White: the founder of Earth Wind and Fire. An awesomely excellent musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, arranger and band leader. His contribution to the world was his gift of beauty as defined by his own creative lyrical and melodic fruit. 

He was only 74 years old. This is difficult news but the fact is that I have been informed that it's truly time to say good bye. To his beloved family and friends I quote one of the Beatitudes: Jesus Christ said "blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted." 

Maurice White lives on through his works for all the generations to come. So here's a big thank you and well done to one of the most perfectly outstanding artists to ever grace the world stage.

Mr. Maurice White: December 19th 1941 - February 4th 2016.

Rest In Perfect Peace. AMEN.
