Seniors Perry Ellis and Wayne Selden Jr. dropped 60% of Kansas' points to help the Jayhawks advance to the Elite 8. The Jayhawks scored 79 points against the University of Maryland Terrapins.

Maryland shot 67% from 2-point range in the NCAA Tournament, they were the best in the field.
