The Honorable Afolabi Akanni
Ekiti Lawmaker, The Honorable Afolabi Akanni, has been released by the Department of Security Services but is still in a private Abuja hospital. He was able to speak with Mr. Ben Agande of The Vanguard Newspaper about his condition: "I am not well. I am sick. I am sick." He revealed that he contracted malaria while in DSS custody but received healthcare treatment after collapsing on two separate occasions.
The Lawmaker revealed that he did not know why he was detained by the DSS in the first instance.
