Kobe Bryant

I am getting extremely sentimental. I can not believe it's been 20 years ... tears, tissues, sniffs, sniffles.

Since one can always rely on those wikipedia folks to update quickly I must have the words Kobe Bean Bryant is an American professional basket player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) captured in time.

Here's the wikipedia snapshot as of today 13th April 2016 before the LA Lakers vs Utah Jazz game:

Kobe Bean Bryant (born August 23, 1978) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He entered the NBA directly from high school, and he has played for the Lakers his entire career, winning five NBA championships. Bryant is an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, and 12-time member of the All-Defensive team. He has led the league in scoring twice, and he ranks third on both the league's all-time regular season scoring and all-time postseason scoring lists. After beginning his 20th season with the Lakers in 2015–16, which set an NBA record for the most seasons with the same team, Bryant announced that he would retire after the season.

This is it for me, no more Kobe posts today ... tissues please.
No doubt I will catch you with updated Kobe news tomorrow. In the meantime, do enjoy his final career game. Let's all savor the special moments. Remember, it's not the end of the world - after all, this nice, thoughtful and enormously professional legend is still very young enough to offer so much more after he ceases to be a Laker - now that's the most beautiful part of his story.
