Olympiacos Striker, Alan Pulido and his girlfriend were kidnapped in Mexico on Saturday May 28th from his Cuidad Victoria home town after a party. The kidnappers freed his girlfriend. As of Monday, reports had emerged that Pulido had been rescued by the authorities - that was just half the story. All correct reports being equal, we now know that the 25 year soccer star was forced to go all James Bond AND Jason Bourne on the culprits.
It has since been reported by Mexico news platform Preceso that it was not the Policia who originally located and freed the soccer star rather it was a case of confident audacious Mighty Morphin Power Ranger self help. How so? Well, during (what some would call) a miraculous moment the lone armed guard was not paying attention, Pulido grabbed his gun, shot the guard and helped himself to the bandit's cell phone. The Olympiacos Striker broke a window, escaped through the very same and quickly phoned the Policia,
Motive? A ransom for Pulido's release.

The action packed sportsman said on Twitter:
"Thank you very much to everyone for their prayers, they helped us a lot during this terrible experience that I would not wish on anyone. I appreciate the support provided by federal and state authorities that allowed me to return safely to my family and friends. Thanks to the divine God who is always with us, and who gave us an opportunity for eternal life."
