To you my loyal readers in other parts of the world who may not know, please allow me to clarify: "Victoria's Secret" among other things, specializes in attractive feminine underwear.
Please read/watch the story at ABC GOOD MORNING AMERICA
Let's read again - all together now: "The California native beat out 10,000 hopefuls in 2009 to win the Victoria's Secret Model Search. She was 19 and recently married at the time."
There is an assumption that ladies who model lingerie for a living can not be Christians and are therefore less wholesome.
Let's treat the following scenarios:
(1) Kylie's Hubby is insecure; (2) Kylie's Hubby does not want others ogling at her as she professionally struts her stuff and flies those wings across the catwalk; (3) Kylie is insecure [she didn't know what she wanted before working so hard to beat out 10,000 hopefuls then and still doesn't know what she wants now]; (4) Kylie and Hubby genuinely want to keep their marriage sacred; (5) Kylie and Hubby are under undue pressure from their Church [(i) jealous and holier than thou fuddy duddies continue to whisper rantings of damnation in Pastor's ears and (ii) Kylie continues to experience spiritual discomfort each time she takes a pew]; (6) Kylie's Hubby is a control freak; and, (7) Kylie and Hubby simply have a lot of growing up to do.
Have I left anything out, what do you think?
Kylie equates modeling lingerie as going against her christian values. She thinks it's unwholesome and would rather cover up. It's her prerogative to decide how she wishes to portray herself in life. Each to her own.
ReplyDeleteI personally do not see anything wrong with being a lingerie model, it's good job it you can get it.
