Olympics Withdrawal Anyone?

From time to time I still search for that fabulous sporting event on TV. It is fast approaching the end of August yet I still feel myself craving. Yes people, I am suffering from OWD - Olympics Withdrawal Syndrome! The fact that I spent the first 10 years of my life a stones' throw from the Olympics Village has a great deal to do with it. From my Deep South perspective London presented as a landscape of sheer beauty, modernity and antiquity. The UK did rather well. Actually, she had no choice - it is not customary for the Olympic Host Nation to fail.

To my mind the most fascinating of all were the under-17's who after impressing with the most magnificent feats in their fields, will be returning to their Senior Year of High School tomorrow. The truth is if one fails to prepare then one must be prepared to fail. The American Educational System (Middle/High School, followed by College/University Scholarships) provides excellent training therefore one should not be too surprised at the enormous presentation of success. The only positive outcome has to be forwards, onwards and upwards for a Nation that makes it a priority to invest in her Children. I wish others would do the same. By the way, I am not only referring to my ancestral Nation of Nigeria here.

If one puts in the time  then one will yield profitable fruit. This is not such a great life lesson but rather a simple basic fact of life and fact in life. Logic, Logical, Logist ..... anyone?
