I was tempted to post the photograph of Prince Harry but thought it rather unnecessary. The images have certainly done the rounds the world over! Quite frankly, I did not welcome the running commentary on the possible size of his manhood. So who is to blame here: the Snapper(s) , Security or the Snappee?
I have a strange feeling that it was not Harry's first time at strip tease poker. We Europeans are very comfortable in our birthday suits no matter the weather. However he completely forgot his location had converted to a place where it is Mr. Benjamin who rules supreme: hot, lukewarm and cold. The Snapper(s) saw the chance of a life time and grabbed it. A killing was made.
To everyday Americans at work or play, Security is King. It is commonplace knowledge that Celebrities are indeed the closest form of Royalty and hence are afforded the best of the very best. It is unfortunate that when it came to the Real Deal, the Royal British Protective Squad got carried away on the tidal waves of Sin City. Security? Too bad so sad.
Prior to Vegas, ours was a seriously respectable vision of a sweet, pleasant gentleman at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics. His name was announced, everybody was told to rise as HRH Prince Henry of Wales entered and was ushered to his seat. "These people have a lot of power" observed my Son. "Yes, they are standing up for him because he is representing the Queen" I replied. Harry's age, previous antics or under-developed wisdom were not in question then, neither should it be now. Regardless of how carried-away, friendly and familiar he got with those "friends" in Vegas, one is reminded that the Snappee is an Army Officer who must bear responsibility for his own actions: the good and the bad.
"What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" truly depends on who you are. Walls do not only have ears, they now have a healthy set of eyes too!
