ROYALTY - BIRTH - HRH Prince Nicolas Paul Gustaf, Duke of Angermanland.

On Wednesday, 17th June a Cabinet Meeting which was chaired by the Swedish Head of State, King Carl XVI Gustaf, it was announced that HRH Princess Madeline's & Mr. Christopher O'Neill's new born Son would be named Nicolas Paul Gustaf.

The most recent addition to the Swedish Royal Family has been assigned the Duchy of Angermanland. He will officially be known as His Royal Highness Prince Nicolas of Sweden, Duke of Angermanland.

On Thursday, 18th June, a "Te Deum" Church Service was held in honor of the new born Prince. "Te Deum" is Latin which translates to "God, We Praise You" - the service is one of thanksgiving and rejoicing.

Prince Nicolas arrived on Monday 15th June at 3.08 kg and 49 cm tall barely 48 hours after his Uncle Prince Carl Philip's wedding. His older sibling is HRH Princess Leonore who was born 20th February 2014.
