NEWS - Desmond Tutu's Daughter Updates Media On Dad's Condition

About an hour ago in Cape Town, Archbishop's daughter, Reverend Canon Mpho Tutu, the Executive Director of Desmond & Lelah Legacy Foundation, briefed the media on her Father's condition.

"Good afternoon, first on behalf my parents and family and on behalf of the Desmond and Leah Legacy Foundation we want to thank all of you for being here and really to express our deep gratitude for the outpouring of messages of love, concern and prayerful support for my Father and our Family......we recognize my Father is very privileged, he has an excellent team of doctors taking care of him and he is being cared for in a first class facility.....we know that medical care is not available to everyone so we are very grateful.....the Doctors have chosen to gift their services to my Father....he is on an intravenous antibiotic treatment for a persistent infection....we are confident he will recover well from the treatment.....His doctors are quite satisfied that his cancer remains dormant and under control....." 

She expressed that her Father recognizes than he is not so young anymore and that it is OK to say no when he would like to say yes. Archbishop Desmond Tutu understands that he is slowing down and must therefore learn to take life easy.
