TELEVISION - EDUCATION - Excellent Sesame Street Is Always Ahead Of The Curve

Julia, a character who has autism, is the newest "Sesame Street" character introduced during the new Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children.

Julia

Her name is Julia!

A couple of days ago Sesame Street unveiled a new character. She happens to be the cute, effervescent and charming brand new friend to Addy Cadabby, Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Ernie, Bert, Grover, Oscar and the entire Family.

The orange-haired, bubbly green-eyed Julia is autistic. Her character is part of the Sesame Street Workshop's desire and initiative to reduce the stigma towards autism. Julia will be demonstrating how to interact and do things a little differently in the playground. Online educational tools, printed story books and a free downloadable app will help and explain to children (and adults) how to interact with people just like Julia.

The Sesame Street Workshop has created #SeeAmazing to educate and market awareness.

To all those associated with this incredible project called the Sesame Street Workshop - excellent. Always ahead of the curve. Well done!
