SPORTS - Justin Gatlin Is Very Unhappy With British Media

Three months ago (May 22nd), Justin Gatlin utilized social media to express his true feelings:

[   #FridayFeeling @ BritAthletics When you don't ever invite me to race in the UK #NoRespect   ]

Matters are now at a very low point as Mr. Gatlin has vowed to boycott all British media outlets and the BBC for what he considers to be their biased reporting. The comparison of good and evil to describe Gatlin and Usain has not been taken lightly by the American. All other negative issues considered (every reference to the athlete seems to include doping), Renaldo Nehemiah, his agent, has publicly declared that Gatlin will not be speaking to British journalists in order to maintain his own dignity and respect. "It is unfortunate that he has been hurt by these attacks...as human beings we should be better than that. The BBC in particular should report without lacing their comments and reporting with biased views."

The sprinter cemented his resolute feelings with:

[   Anyone from @BBCSport or British media tryna talk trash to me after I win the 200 I'mma slap them fools #norespect #BBCAthletics #GOATlin   ]

[   Ain't none of y'all negative comments gonna get me down. I only deal in positives. Don't sent me yo negatives. #positiveforlife #Beijing2015   ]

  1. British people can be terrible debby downers. Always looking for negative things to say about other people's talents. They like to remind you of what you did wrong and not what you did right. Horrible mentality! Am definitely with Justin.

  6. I don't know why they're treating him like that. Funny how a lot of British athletes train over here in the US. It seems they don't want black talent to prosper. They treat their black actors and musicians the same way that's why a lot of them end up working over here, no respect at all. SMH.
