The University of Jos and Plateau State Government organized its 3rd Farm/Fair Workshop in the Bokkos LGA of the State. At the event the University's Center for the Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering expressed its intention to partner with the state in order to expedite food production for the entire nation by fostering a good working relationship with farmers.
The Center is one of six Biotechnology locations of excellence established in each geo-political zone by the (NABDA) National Biotechnology Development Agency in 2003.
Plateau State is rich in bio-resources. The 3rd Farm/Fair Workshop succeeded in displaying the State's potential to the world.
